Bobbie has been an infant formula company that has taken the industry by storm. Within the last 5 years, this company was founded by two mom's who were desiring more. When they didn't find it.. they made it.
Bobbie's original infant formula is special. Here are a few reasons as to why:
Lactose is the main carbohydrate source. This is great because lactose is the main carbohydrate source in Human Breast Milk. Babies are naturally able to tolerate lactose (typically**). I know it seems like "Lactose Intolerance" is so common. And it is! But it is a condition that typically onsets as we age. Most often, if baby is not tolerating a formula, its actually more likely to be an issue with the proteins, not the carbohydrates.
Whey Protein is the main protein source. This is extra awesome because whey protein is easier to breakdown than it's counterpart, casein. Check out the stats below on proteins found in cow's milk and human milk!

Mammal milk contains 2 main types of proteins - whey & casein.
Casein is a bit more difficult to digest than whey- which is important to know! Because…💫
Human Breast Milk = 60% whey, 40% casein.
Cow’s & Goat’s Milk = 20% whey, 80% casein.
Human babies were made to digest whey easier than casein. ⭐️
Which is one reason some babies may have trouble with formulas that contain higher contents of casein or if the proteins are fully intact in general.🤷🏼♀️

Bobbie implemented many of the features found in their Original/Standard Infant formula... with a special twist!
Lactose remains the carbohydrate source! 100%. Many options for 'gentle' formulas use a combination of carbohydrates. This often includes ingredients such as corn syrup (aka glucose, NOT high fructose corn syrup). There's nothing wrong with these ingredients! BUT! If I have an option to use 100% carbohydrate source that's compared to breast milk, why wouldn't I?
Whey Protein remains the main protein source! This already leans towards easier digestion for baby. In addition, the Gentle version "breaks up" those protein molecules for EVEN EASIER digestion! (Fun Fact: When a protein is "broken down" into smaller parts, the process is called Hydrolysis or Hydrolyzation)
Certified Organic, contains DHA, all of the other great findings as their Standard!
This is the first Gentle formula to provide Lactose as the carbohydrate source. As I mentioned above, Lactose Intolerance is actually quite misunderstood during the early years.
Infants are more likely to have a concern in digesting the proteins from cow's milk or may ever have Cow's Milk Protein Allergy. This type of reaction is at times confused with Lactose Intolerance. The reality is, infants are usually able to tolerate Lactose and Lactose Intolerance is something that often comes on as we age. Infants with Cow's Milk Protein Allergy may have the exact opposite experience - many infants grow out of CMPA as they age.
